Suffolk, Va., Aug. 14. - (Special) - [...] FATAL RAILROAD ACCIDENT. - Tom Smith, an employee of the Seaboard Air Line, fell between the cars at Branchville, and the wheels passed over his body before the train could be stopped. An engine was sent up the road for the nearest physician, who used all available methods to save his life, but in vain. Smith died in fifteen hours after the accident. His body was sent to North Carolina for interment.
