All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ ROSA MAE DAVIS SANDLIN FRANKLIN - Funeral services for Mrs. Rosa Mae Sandlin, 69, who died Thursday in Raiford Memorial Hospital after a long illness, were held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Holland Funeral Chapel by Rev. Williams A. Grissom, pastor of Windsor Christian Church. Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery, the active pallbearers being Joe P. King, Jr., Jack Story, Kirby Ham, Samuel Mitchell, Lewis M. Thomas, Simpson Porter, Vaughan Beale, Harry Jones and Thomas Joyner. Mrs. Sandlin was the widow of Frederick Sandlin and was the daughter of David W. and Mrs. Josephine Tingle Davis of Beaufort, N.C. She was a member of the Franklin Congregational Christian Church and its Woman’s Aid Society. She was a past matron of Franklin Chapter 128, Order of Eastern Star. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. G.R. Edwards and Mrs. R.L. Eley, Jr., of Windsor, Mrs. H.A. Laney of Forest Park, Ga. and Mrs. Clay Kenney of Washington; two sons, Robert E. Sandlin of Southern Pines, N.C.; a sister, Mrs. Carmen Barclay of Norfolk; and 13 grandchildren. Rosa Mae (DAVIS; Mrs. J.
