Sandlin, 67, was held Monday at 1 p.m. in Poplar Spring Cemetery by Dr. Richard T. Diekmann. Wright Funeral Home was in charge. Sadlin died Saturday in Southampton Memorial Hospital. A native of Augusta, Ga., he was the husband of Dorothy Mitchell Sandlin. He had retired after 14 years of service with St. Regis Paper Company and was a self-employed electrical contractor. He was a member of the Franklin Chapter of Order of the Eastern Star, Franklin Masonic Lodge 151 and Franklin Congregational Christian Church. Survivors include a daughter, Sandra S. Wilkins of Franklin; two sons, Robert E. Sandlin Jr. of Columbia, S.C., and J. Mitchell Sandlin of Franklin; three sisters, Dora S. Laney of Jonesboro, Ga., Madeline S. Edwards of Windsor and Louise S. Kinney of Bowie, Md.; a brother, Joseph E. Sandlin of Lumberton, N.C. and four grandchildren.
