She was a native and lifelong resident of Southampton Co., and the wife of William B. Simmons. She was a member of Capron United Methodist Church, and a former school teacher. Besides her husband, surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Edward V. Horton of Princeton, W. Va. and Mrs. Ernest W. Goodrich of Surry, Va.; one son, William B. Simmons III of Courtland; five sisters, Mrs. Herbert H. Chappell of Sedley, Mrs. Benjamin W. Mahone and Mrs. James T. Everett, both of Emporia, Mrs. William J. Myers of Philadelphia, Pa., and Mrs. George U. Seigresa of Sebrell; one brother, Stafford V. Camp of Courtland; nine grandchildren; eight great- grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Friday 11 A.M. at graveside in Riverside Cemetery, Courtland by the Rev. Van E. Cash. The family suggests that memorials be made to the Courtland Rescue Squad.
