BENJAMIN O. SIMMONS PETERSBURG - Mrs. Rebecca Frances Simmons, widow of Benjamin Owen Simmons, died Sunday afternoon at her home, 1122 Halifax St. She was a native of Southampton County, but had resided in Petersburg 33 years. She is survived by the following children: Mrs. Ollie Knott, of Dinwiddie County; Mrs. Otis Davis, of Churchville; Mrs. Herman Rawlings, of Sebrell; Benjamin F. Simmons and Henry Simmons, and one stepdaughter, Mrs. J.N. Rowe, all of this city. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son at 3 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Blandford Cemetery. ****************************************************************************** REBECCA FRANCES WILLIAMS SIMMONS Mrs. Rebecca Frances Simmons, wife of the late Benjamin Owen Simmons of Petersburg, died Sunday afternoon at 6 o’clock at her home. Mrs. Simmons had been in declining health about a year and for the past five weeks she had been confined to her bed. The deceased was a native of Southampton County, but had lived in Petersburg 33 years. Surviving Mrs. Simmons are the following children; Mrs. Ollie Knott of Dinwiddie County; Mrs. Otis Davis of Branchville; Mrs. Herman Rollings of Sebrell; Benjamin F. Simmons and Henry Simons and one step-daughter, Mrs. J.N. Rowe of Petersburg. Services were held in the chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son, Petersburg, Tuesday afternoon at 3 o’clock. The Rev. L. Oakey Wilburn, pastor of Trinity Methodist Church, of which she had long been a member, officiated. Burial was in Blandford Cemetery, Peterburg.
