Scarborough, 85, lifelong resident of Southampton County, died early Tuesday in a Petersburg hospital. He is survived by 12 children: Mrs. J.A. Dyer, Mrs. J.H. Pritchett, Mrs. S.H. Williams and Mrs. Thomas Pope, all of Petersburg; Mrs. J.A. Long, R.H. and Frank Scarborough of Richmond; Mrs. Ashby Pope, R.C. and James Scarborough of Southampton County; Mrs. James Blow, of Newport News, and Mrs. Charles Dickerson, of Sussex County; 22 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the grave in Capron Cemetery at 2 P.M. Thursday.
