Holland and Sons Funeral Home by the Rev. L.F. Smith. Burial was in Southampton Memorial Park. Pallbearers were C.L. Hedgepeth, Eugene Weeks, Whitney Winborne, George S. Drewry, Nat Williams, James Lee Eason, Norfleet W. Griffin and William V. Johnson. Squires, 40, died Saturday morning in a Franklin hospital. A native of Waycross, Ga., he was a son of Mrs. Lucy Todd Squires and the late Jessie J. Squires and the husband of Mrs. Doris Caison Squires. He was a deacon of South Quay Baptist Church and a member of Franklin Masonic Lodge 151. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Sandra Denmead of Emory, and Miss Bonnie Sue Squires of Holland; a son, Army Pfc. Danvis E. Squires of German; a sister, Mrs. Nellie Head of Palmetta, Fla.; and a brother, Bonnie J. Squires of Chokoloskee, Fla.
