Paul Gallagher. Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery. A Rosary was said at 7:30 p.m. Sunday night in Wright Funeral Home, Franklin. Pallbearers were Joe Dail, Robert Hollowell, Charles Kannon, Andy Kume, Albert Mosley, James H. Pope, Fred Rabil and Mitch Rabil Mrs. Surace died Friday in a Richmond hospital. A lifetime resident of Southampton County she was the widow of James A. Surace Sr. She was a member of St. Jude’s Catholic Church. Survivors include her mother, Lina Dundalow Carter of Indian Head, Md.; a daughter, Dorothy S. Griffin of Windsor; four sons, James A. Surace Jr. of Powhatan, and Richard C. Surace, Phillip T. Surace and David G. Surace all of Courtland; three sisters, Grace C. Sherin of Smithfield, Helen C. Pope of Courtland and Lina Sue Schwinger of El Monte, Calif.; three brothers, Richard E. Carter of Indian Head; and four grandchildren. Mabel White (CARTER; James A.
