She was a member of Franklin Baptist Church, and a charter member of the Franklin Garden Club. Surviving are two sons, Dr. William Taylor Tucker, Richmond, and Robert James Tucker, Jr. of Acton, Mass., one sister, Miss Gertrude Williams of Franklin; one brother, Frank C. Williams of Roanoke Rapids, N.C.; six grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Monday 11 a.m. in Franklin Baptist Church by the Rev. Ira D. Hudgins. Burial in Poplar Spring Cemetery. ************************************************ RUTH WILLIAMS TUCKER A funeral service for Mrs. Ruth Williams Tucker, 80, of Franklin, was held Monday, Dec. 18 at 11 a.m. at Franklin Baptist Church, by the Rev. Ira D. Hudgins. Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery, Franklin. Pallbearers were Frank Williams, M.W. Williams Jr., Billy B. Williams, John E. Bryant, Soloman W. Rawls Jr., John D. Munford, Franklin, S. Edmonds, Robert H. Powell III, Alton Gwaltney and Samuel Bradshaw. Mrs. Tucker died suddenly in her home Dec. 16. She was a lifelong resident of Franklin and the widow of Robert James Tucker. She was a member of the Franklin Baptist Church and a charter member of the Franklin Garden Club. She was the daughter of the late William G. Williams and Gertrude Alice Taylor Williams. Mrs. Tucker is survived by two sons, Robert James Tucker Jr. of Acton, Mass. and Dr. William Taylor Tucker of Richmond; one sister, Miss Gertrude Williams of Franklin; one brother, Frank E.
