ELIZABETH JOYNER TALLEY

   BURDETTE - A funeral service for Mrs. Elizabeth Joyner Talley, 93, was held 
Tuesday at 1 p.m. in Black Creek Baptist Church by the Rev. Willis H. Switzer. 
Burial was in Rosemont Cemetery, Sedley, with Wright Funeral Home in charge.

   Pallbearers were: Edwin Hatfield, Merritt Raiford, Edwin Joyner, Roland 
Whitley, Fred Clayton, Earl Parker.

   Mrs. Talley died Sunday in her home.

   A lifelong resident of Burdette, she was the widow of William Arthur Talley 
Sr.  She was the oldest member of Black Creek Baptist Church.

   Survivors include two sons, the Rev. Joseph A. Talley of Portsmouth and 
Banks H. Talley of Middletown, Del.; and six grandchildren.
