Gene A. Taylor 

  HOPEWELL - Gene Andrews Taylor, 34, of 3415 Granby St., died Monday in his 
home after a short illness. 

  A native of Southampton County, he was the husband of Mrs. Sue Arnold Taylor 
and a son of Mrs. Mary Council and the late Henry T. Taylor. 

  He was a member of Boykins Baptist Church and a building construction 
worker. 

  Besides his widow and mother, surviving are a son, Gene A. Taylor Jr. of 
Emporia; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Addie Flowers of Drewryville and Mrs. 
Harriette Gatling of Richmond; two brothers, Henry T. Taylor Jr. of 
Drewryville and Roland L. Taylor of Boykins; and maternal grandmother, Mrs. 
Addie F. Grizzard of Drewryville. 

  A funeral service will be conducted today at 4 p.m. in McDowell Funeral 
Home, Boykins, by the Rev. James T. Campbell.  Burial will be in Beechwood 
Cemetery, Boykins.
