HERMAN TAYLOR

   FRANKLIN - Herman Taylor, 88, of the 1100 block of Railroad Ave., a retired 
farmer, died April 24, in a hospital.

   Mr. Taylor, a Northampton County, N.C. native, was a member of Pleasant 
Plain Baptist Church in Drewryville.  He was the widower of Linda Taylor.

   Survivors include a sister, Jessie E. Beale of Branchville; and a brother, 
Benjamin C. Edwards of Branchville.

   The graveside service was conducted Monday in Beechwood Cemetery, Boykins 
by the Rev. Lee Bowers and Anderson D. Goodson.  McDowell Funeral Home handled 
arrangements.

   Memorial donations may be made to East Pavillion or to the Branchville 
United Methodist Church.
