Taylor, 81, will be held today at 11 a.m. in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel, by Pastor James Womble of Fox Hill Baptist Church. Burial will be Thursday at 2:30 p.m. in Beechwood Cemetery, Boykins. The husband of Essie H. Taylor and native of Boykins died Monday in a hospital. He lived in this area for 50 years and retired in 1964 from the Pennsylvania Railroad as conductor after 35 years. He was a member of Boykins Baptist Church and the United Transportation Union, Local 0854. Other survivors include a son, David Carl Taylor of Portsmouth.
