TAYLOR FUNERAL TUESDAY AT CHURCH James Clayton Taylor, Jr., 48, died Saturday afternoon in a hospital here after a long illness. He was the husband of Mrs. Laura Newsome Taylor and a son of the late James Clayton Taylor and Mrs. Cora Frances Andrews Taylor of Pitt County, N.C. He moved to Franklin about 20 years ago. He was plant manager of Olin Mathieson Chemical Co. in Franklin. He was a member of Franklin Baptist Church, Pythian Lodge 51, Woodmen of the World, Forks of the River Ruritan Club, Tidewater Beagle Club, and Hunt Club. Besides his widow, surviving are one son, Vernon Clayton Taylor of Holland; one daughter, Mrs. Dian Pocrnich of Fox Lake Hills, Ill.; and one brother, Vernon E. Taylor of Rich Square, N.C. A funeral service will be conducted Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. in the Franklin Baptist Church by the Rev. Ira D. Hudgins, pastor. Burial will be in Poplar Spring Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Herman Eley, Jesse McClenny, C.A. Cutchins, III, W.M. Camp, Jr., John E.
