Taylor, a life-long resident of this community, died last Thursday night at his home here. Although Mr. Taylor had been ill for some time with the end apparently near, his passing is a shock to his many friends. He was a Confederate Veteran and like his comrades, always loved to talk of his war experiences. He was a senior deacon of Buckhorn Church of which he had been a member since early manhood. As a church member, friend and neighbor he will be missed. Burial services were conducted by his Pastor, Rev. E. Norfleet Gardner, at the grave in the family burying ground at his home last Saturday afternoon. [R.J.
