All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ HENRY PEOPLES THOMASON Henry Peoples Thomason, 60, a resident of the Holland community and a former resident of Franklin, died on Monday afternoon, August 25, for burns received while asleep in his home near Holland. He was the son of the late John Alexander and Ann Edmonds Thomason of Brunswick County, N.C. He was a member of the Congregational Christian Church. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Gattie Worrell Thomason of Holland; one son, Irvin H. Thomason of Franklin; two grandchildren, Judy Lee and Irvin H. Thomason, Jr., of Franklin; three sisters, Mrs. C.C. Jernigan of Roanoke Rapids, N.C., Mrs. Daisy Gums and Mrs. Annie Sheron; and one brother, Earnest Thomason. Funeral services were held in the chapel of W.J.M. Holland & Sons on Wednesday afternoon at 4:30 o’clock with Revs. J.A. Sitterson and Kelly Wigfield officiating. Interment was in Poplar Spring Cemetery, the pallbearers being Emory Beale, Edward Campbell, Jasper Capps, W.J. Daughtrey, William Ashby Ellis and Edward King.
