LOUIS BRITT THOMPSON 

   A funeral service for Louis Britt Thompson, 60, of Courtland was held 
Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. in Courtland Methodist Church by the Rev. Bobby Tyson 
and the Rev. Harold Lewis.

   Burial was in Capron Cemetery.

   Pallbearers were Ben Babb, David Babb, S.V. Camp III, Herbert Kain, Cartis 
Burt, J.B. Barksdale, Tommy Joyner and Charles Park.

   A native of Southampton County, he was a son of John A. and Mrs. Maggie 
Ricks Thompson and the husband of Mrs. Evelyn Moseley Thompson.

   He was a member of Thomas Memorial United Methodist Church.  He owned and 
operated Louis Thompson Restaurant, Courtland, and formerly owned the Airway 
Restaurant in Franklin.

   Besides his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Gail Stradley and 
Mrs. Judith Davis of Franklin and Mrs. Glenda Williams of Courtland; four 
sisters, Mrs. Ruth T. Cotton, Franklin; Mrs. Grace T. Burt and Mrs. Gladys T. 
Wade, Richmond; and Mrs. Mildred Edwards, Courtland; a brother, Wray C. 
Thompson of West Point; and five grandchildren.
