All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ SUE KATHERINE ORR THOMPSON Mrs. Sue Katherine Orr Thompson, 39, a resident of Capron for the past 10 years, died unexpectedly in Raiford Memorial Hospital on Sunday morning, February 11, after suffering ill health for some months. Mrs. Thompson was the wife of Clarence Lafayette Thompson of Capron and the daughter of Mrs. Susan Jenkins Orr of Richmond and the late Melvin Orr*. She was a member of the Capron Baptist Church and of its Woman’s Missionary Society. Besides her husband and mother she is survived by four daughters, Betty Sue Thompson of Franklin and Clara Margaret, Rebecca and Dana H. Thompson, all of Capron; one sons, Elmer Thompson of Richmond; three sisters, Mrs. Charles Willis and Mrs. Garland Pennell of chase City and Mrs. Stephen Jones of Richmond; four brothers, Carl and Paul Orr of Baltimore, Md., Melvin Orr of Marion, and Harvey Orr of Chase City; and several nephews and nieces. Funeral services were held at the graveside in Capron Cemetery on Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock, with Revs. H. B. Jennings and L.O. Wright officiating. The active pallbearers were Irving Baker, Ira Barham, Eldredge Faison, Moncure Francis, Vernie W. Francis and Raymond Rawls. Sue Katherine (ORR; Mrs. Clarence L.) THOMPSON, of Capron, b.
