Thomas died at the home of her son-in-law, Mr. R.A. Pope, at Drewryville on Thursday, May 17th, aged sixty nine. Mrs. Thomas is the widow of the late P.S. Thomas, of Southampton Co., and leaves five children, J.B. Thomas, Miss Blanche Thomas and Mrs. R.A. Pope of Drewryville, Mrs. Jennie Smith of Appomattox county and Mrs. A.P. Hawkins, of Matthews county. Mrs. Thomas was a highly esteemed and much beloved woman, one of the many good acts of her useful life being the erection of the Thomas Memorial Baptist Church of Drewryville.
