MARY SUZANNE THOMAS 

   Mary Suzanne Thomas, six-months old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thornton 
Thomas of Whaleyville, died at 4:24 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, April 28 
at the home of her maternal grandparents, City Councilman and Mrs. Victor 
M. Halbert, in Petersburg.

   Besides her parents and maternal grandparents, she is survived by her 
paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Thomas of Drewryville.

   Funeral services were held the following afternoon at five o'clock at 
the grave in the Drewryville cemetery, with Dr. William B. McIlwaine of 
Petersburg officiating, assisted by Rev. H.B. Jennings of Drewryville. 
Active pallbearers were Edward Halbert, Richard Halbert, Horace Thomas 
and Douglas Thomas.  The pall was made of white carnations, lilies, and 
lily of the valley.
