COURTLAND - A funeral service for James J. Tomlin Jr., 40, was held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Poplar Spring Cemetery, Franklin, by the R.E. Brittle. Wright Funeral Home was in charge. Tomlin died Wednesday in his home. A native of Franklin, he was the husband of the late Joyce Wilson Tomlin. He had retired from the Air Force as technical sergeant. He attended Courtland Baptist Church. Survivors include his parents, Jean L. Tomlin and James J. Tomlin Sr. of Franklin; a daughter, Janice Lorraine Tomlin, and a son, James J. Tomlin III, both of Courtland; and a sister, Sandra F. Lee of Virginia Beach.
