THOMAS FRANKLIN TOMLINSON 

   Thomas Franklin Tomlinson, aged 58 years*, a resident of Southampton County 
for the past 7 years, died at his residence near Handsom after a short illness 
last Friday morning.

   He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Frances Elizabeth Tomlinson; two daughters, 
Mrs. T.R. Gardner of Painesville, Ohio, and Miss Doris Tomlinson of Suffolk; 
five sons, Thomas Washington, William Linwood Tomlinson of Suffolk, Joseph 
Franklin and J.W. Keirsey of Norfolk, and James Elmore Tomlinson of Handsom; 
two sisters, Mrs. Mary J. Moore and Mrs. C.W. Tyler of Norfolk and two 
grandchildren.

   Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 2:30 from the Holland 
Funeral Home here, interment being in Sycamore Cemetery, the services being 
conducted by Rev. R.D. Stephenson.

The 1900 Census (Tanner's Creek, Norfolk Co., VA) gives b. Jul 1858 NC, 
   works in Knitting mill, m. 4 yrs.
