Turner, son of the late Frank and Margaret Turner, died at his home Friday morning at 1 o’clock in his 54th year. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Anna E. Turner, two sons, Howard and Peyton, four daughters, Frances, Janie, Marion and Elizabeth, five brothers, W.D. Turner of Newport News, J.H. Turner, Eddie Turner, Lee Turner and Jodie Turner, and one sister, Miss Lillie Turner. Funeral services were held at the grave in Poplar Spring Cemetery Saturday afternoon at 3 o’clock by the Rev. R.D. Stephenson, assisted by Rev. W.B. Denson. Active pallbearers were: E.A. Bradshaw, W.M. Weede, Noah Bradshaw, Claude Blythe, W.M. Bradshaw, R.I. Beale, W.J. Cross and Dr. R.L. Raiford.
