Mrs. Turner, 70, Succumbs at Obici 

  Mrs. Martha Ellen Turner, 70, of 519 North Main Street, died yesterday 
afternoon at Louise Obici Memorial Hospital after a long illness. 

  She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Catherine Alley and Mrs. R.L. Sydnor, 
both of Suffolk; three sons, J.B. Turner and W.W. Turner, both of Nansemond 
County, and P.E. Turner, of Portsmouth; six grandchildren, several nieces and 
one nephew. 

  The body was removed to the I.O. Hill Funeral Home, where funeral services 
will be held at 2:00 o'clock tomorrow afternoon.  Burial will follow at 
Popular Springs Cemetery in Franklin.

   buried in a SCOTT family cemetery on Hunterdale Rd.  It is a large 
   cemetery with no visible stones.  We have Carr's brother Johnathan C. 
   SCOTT listed there, but not Carr & Martha.
