Daniel K. Ivey and the Rev. Cafer Marley. McDowell Funeral Home was in charge. Pallbearers were Andrew Edwards, R.C. Smith Jr., John Partridge, Bob Edwards, Woodrow Harris and William C. Taylor. Mrs. Turner, 94, died Tuesday in a Suffolk nursing home. A native of Southampton County, she was the widow of James T. Turner and a daughter of Walter B. and Mrs. Bettie Claud Person. She was a member of Person’s United Methodist Church. She formerly taught in Southampton County schools. She was a graduate of Longwood College. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Joseph C.
