All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ GEORGE THOMAS TURNER George Thomas Turner, better known as his many friends and family as "Bud", died Sunday morning, March 31, at about 8 a.m. at his home in the Story Station neighborhood where he has been ill for many months. He was a farmer and a lifelong resident of Southampton County. He was a son of the late Henry T. and Georgianna Bassett Turner of Southampton County, also a brother of the late Mrs. Mary Turner Dundalow who preceded him to the grave many years ago. He is survived by the following nieces and nephews; Mrs. W.T. Dundalow, Mrs. W.B. Spright, Mrs. C. E. Whithey, Miss Ann Dundalow; James H., Paul Douglas, Ernest and Lewis Dundalow. He is also survived by a number of great- niece and nephews. His body was removed from his home to the Holland Funeral Home in Franklin where it remained until buried in the Nottoway Chapel Cemetery on Monday afternoon. The funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Perry White, pastor of Nottoway Chapel. The pallbearers were: W.T. Dundalow, Edwin Priggin, Carson Whitley, Sr., Earl Dundalow, Robert Lewis and Edgar Blythe.
