KATHLEEN O’DELL COBB TURNER 

FRANKLIN - Mrs. Kathleen C. Turner, 62, of 805 Norfleet St., died Friday in 
Southampton Memorial Hospital.  A native of Southampton County, she was the 
wife of Matthew Turner.  She was a member of Sycamore Baptist Church and its 
Women’s Missionary Union.  She was a retired bookkeeper of Steinhardt Hardware 
Company.  Also surviving are three sisters, Mrs. John L. Eley, Jr., and Mrs. 
Robert E. Johnson of Franklin and Mrs. William M. Pope of Norfolk; and a 
brother, Gardner F. Cobb of Franklin.  A funeral service will be held Sunday 
at 3 p.m. in W.J.M. Holland & Sons Funeral Home by the Rev. James Luck and the 
Rev. Ira D. Hudgins.  Burial will be in Poplar Spring Cemetery.
