He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Fannie Wall Turner; four daughters, Mrs. L.H. Vick and Mrs. R.C. Gay of Emporia; Mrs. Drewry Cobb of Drewryville and Miss Alta Vashti Turner of Portsmouth; a son, Gilbert W. Turner of Capron; 11 grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Services were conducted at the residence Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock, with the Rev. C. Bailey Jones, assisted by the Rev. L.D. Stables, officiating. Music was rendered by the Capron Baptist Church choir, Joel C. Holland singing "Sunrise Tomorrow." Burial was in the Capron Cemetery, pallbearers being F.E. Pope, A.P. Pope, C.F. Cobb, L.R. Magee, T.D. Gardner, D.D. Barham, A.J. Jenkins and Frank Marks. The casket was covered with a pall of white and lavender chrysanthemums.
