PERCIE ELMER TURNER

   PORTSMOUTH - A funeral service for Percie Elmer Turner, 72, was held 
Tuesday in Sturtevant Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Tom Potter.  Burial was in 
Poplar Spring Cemetery, Franklin.

   Turner of 246 Sandpiper Drive, a native of Franklin and the husband of the 
late Josephine M. Turner, died Saturday in a hospital.

   He was a retired Norshipco pipefitter.

   Survivors include a daughter, Lois T. Whitley of Portsmouth; a sister, 
Leona Sydnor of Suffolk; and six grandchildren.
