Daniel M. Spell. Burial was in Capron Cemetery with W.J.M. Holland and Sons Funeral Home, Franklin, in charge. Pallbearers were Otis Davis, Callis Davis, Howard Simmons, Allen Harris, Drewry Cobb and Gordon Grizzard. Turner, formerly of Capron died Saturday morning in the home of his sister, Mrs. W.D. McPherson. A native of Southampton County, he was a son of George William and Mrs. Anna Barden Turner. He was a member of Hebron Baptist Church near Capron. Besides his sister, he is survived by a brother, Percy B. Turner of Emporia. Vernon Lawrence TURNER, formerly of Capron, retired farmer, Southampton Co. native, d. 27 Jul 1968, at sister's home, Roanoke, age 70, interred in Capron Cemetery*, 29 Jul 1968, "The Tidewater News" (Franklin, VA), Aug. 1, 1968, p. 5 *His parents are also buried there.
