VERNON LAWRENCE TURNER 

   ROANOKE - A funeral service for Vernon Lawrence Turner was conducted Monday 
at 2 p.m. in Hebron Baptist Church by the Rev. Daniel M. Spell.  Burial was in 
Capron Cemetery with W.J.M. Holland and Sons Funeral Home, Franklin, in charge.

   Pallbearers were Otis Davis, Callis Davis, Howard Simmons, Allen Harris, 
Drewry Cobb and Gordon Grizzard.

   Turner, formerly of Capron died Saturday morning in the home of his sister, 
Mrs. W.D. McPherson.

   A native of Southampton County, he was a son of George William and Mrs. 
Anna Barden Turner.

   He was a member of Hebron Baptist Church near Capron.

   Besides his sister, he is survived by a brother, Percy B. Turner of Emporia.


Vernon Lawrence TURNER, formerly of Capron, retired farmer, 
Southampton Co. native, d. 27 Jul 1968, at sister's home, Roanoke, age 70, 
interred in Capron Cemetery*, 29 Jul 1968,
