Entered into life eternal on Thursday, Dec. 19, 1929, Joseph Williamson Urquhart, eldest son of the late Judge J.W. Urquhart and Frances Ridley Urquhart, in the sixty-sixth year of his age. In the sudden death of "Joe" Urquhart, his family and friends have been painfully shocked and profoundly grieved. His going has withdrawn from our midst a loved relative, a faithful friend, an upright citizen and a worthy man. He was ever bright and cheerful always willing to prefer others to himself. Having descended from a long line of distinguished ancestry, he worthily represented and preserved the high traditions that were his heritage. His tender care and devotion to his mother were the outstanding features of his well rounded character. For many years he had been a faithful communicant of the Episcopal Church. His Christianity was not showy or of words, but breathed forth in acts of thoughtful kindness and faithfulness to duty. The last summons came almost without a moment's warning, but found him "at his post," active in the task God had set for him. It is a great comfort to us who loved him, that he was spared the suffering of a lingering illness. He leaves to mourn their loss two sisters and five brothers, besides a host of other relatives. May He who caused this distressing bereavement administer His holy consolation and mercifully bind up the wounds in the hearts of his loved ones. "Thy will be done." R.M.R.
