She was the daughter of the late William and Julia Goodwin Urquhart of Southampton County, and is survived by cousins only. She was a faithful member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Courtland. Miss Urquhart lived at "Charlie’s Hope" plantation, the ancestral family home near Sebrell, until forced by ill health to leave. She was the last member of her family, her sisters, Misses Lou, Annie and Pattie Urquhart passing away in the order named some years ago. The gracious hospitality of "Charlie’s Hope" will long be remembered by relatives, neighbors and friends of "Miss Lucy." The house with its spacious grounds and ancient oak and other shade trees made an ideal setting for the many picnics, squirrel muddles, and other enjoyable gatherings that were events in the neighborhood. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock in St. Luke’s Church by the rector, Rev. John M. Gessell, and Rev. John A. Gray of Richmond, a cousin and former rector. Burial was in the family lot in Riverside Cemetery. The pallbearers were T.R. Adkins, A.E. Briggs, Franklin Edwards, L.M. Manry, Bogart Pretlow, Dr. E. F. Reese, Jr., R.R. Reese and C.G. Ridley.
