She had been a faithful member of Johnson’s Grove Christian Church since early childhood. Beside her husband she leaves two sons, Walter Vick of Suffolk and Alf Vick of Courtland; one granddaughter, her mother, Mrs. Indianna Butler Joyner; two sisters, Mrs. E.M. Rollings of Courtland and Mrs. J.A. Dickey of Washington; four brothers, H.L. and J.H. Joyner of Courtland, Prof. A.D. Joyner of Yonkers, N.Y. and Supt. M.B. Joyner of Surry County. She also leaves a number of nieces and nephews and a host of friends. In the absence of her Pastor, Rev. A.W. Roten of the Methodist Church conducted the funeral services and interment was made in the family cemetery at her home. Her nephews acted as active pallbearers and her nieces were flower- bearers.
