DELLIE AUGUSTA VICK 

   NEWSOMS - Dellie Augusta* Vick, Sr., 58, died Saturday at 7:30 p.m. on 
a heart attack.

   A native of Southampton County, he was a son of John W. and Mrs. Rosa 
Futrell Vick and the husband of Mrs. Esther Marie Bartly Vick.  He was a 
member of Newsoms Methodist Church and Newsoms Hunt Club.

   Besides his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Rosa Marie 
Hunt of Portsmouth, Mrs. Johnnie Glover of Franklin and Mrs. Jesse Nelson 
of Conway, N.C.; a son, Lt. Dellie A. Vick, Jr., Marine Base, El Toro, 
Calif.; five brothers, A.T. Vick and Johnnie Vick of Portsmouth, C.F. Vick 
of Suffolk, Wade H. Vick of Durham, N.C., and H.L. Vick of Los Angeles; a 
sister, Mrs. Frank E. Hughes of Portsmouth; and six grandchildren.

   Funeral services were conducted Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. in the Newsoms 
Methodist Church by the pastor, Rev. B.W. Coe.  Burial was in Newsoms 
Cemetery.

   Pallbearers were Jack Bunn, Harrell Drake, Currie Lee Vick, Emmett 
Dunlow, Julian Fowler and Raymond Bryant.
