The deceased was the husband of Mrs. Mildred Cogsdale Vick and son of the late Charles Linwood and Hester Story Vick of this county. He was a member of the Newsoms Baptist Church. In addition to his wife the survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Adelle Vick Holloman of Newsoms; two sons, Marvin Vick of Courtland and Linwood Vick of Boykins; three brothers, Luther Vick of Hopewell and Billie R. Vick and William Vick of Newsoms; and two sisters, Mrs. Lewis Vick of Capron and Mrs. Amos Porter of Newsoms. Final rites for Mr. Vick were conducted at the Newsoms Baptist Church on Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock by the pastor, Rev. R.L. Chadwick, followed by burial in the Newsoms Cemetery. The pallbearers were Lee Cogsdale, Lonnie Francis, James Fuller, James Porter, J.T. Story, Jr., and R.B. Story.
