Vick, 76, of Newsoms died at the residence on Tuesday morning, April 29. The deceased was the widow of John F. Vick and the daughter of Baker and Darthular* Worrell Vick. She was a member of the Newsoms Baptist Church and of its Women's Missionary Society. Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Dolly Ainsley of Roanoke Rapids, N.C., Mrs. Pauline Baugham of Newsoms, Mrs. Virginia Blythe of Franklin, Mrs. Gladys Larson of Newport News, and Betty Warren of Suffolk; two sons, Currey Lee Vick of Newsoms and Purvis Vick of Newport News; three stepchildren, Reuben Vick of Newport News, Ernest Vick of Boykins, and Mrs. Fannie Turner of Portsmouth; 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Lula Babb of Tennessee, Mrs. Bessie Bryant of Boykins, Mrs. Carrie Rick of Richmond, and Mrs. Ruth Saunders of Emporia; and three brothers, Charlie Vick of Emporia, Claude Vick of Washington, D.C., and Mosley Vick of Arizona. Funeral services were conducted this (Thursday) afternoon at 3:30 o'clock in the Newsoms Baptist Church by the pastor, Rev. L.F. Smith, assisted by Rev. Edwin C. Thornton, Jr., pastor of Beaver Dam Baptist Church. Interment was in Newsoms Cemetery. Edna Earl (VICK; Mrs. John F.)
