COURTLAND - George Baron [sic; Barron] Vick, Jr., 49, well-known Southampton County farmer, died in Raiford Memorial Hospital on Friday, July 4, following a brief illness. Mr. Vick was the husband of Mrs. Dorothy Boothe Vick and son of George B. Vick, Sr., and the late Mrs. Gillie Hundley Vick. He was a member of old Trinity Methodist Church. Surviving besides his wife and father are a daughter, Miss Nancy Gardner Vick, and a sister, Miss Marcia Hundley Vick, all of the Vicksville community. Graveside services were conducted in Poplar Spring Cemetery on Monday morning at 11 o’clock by Rev. Joseph McTeer, pastor of Millfield Baptist Church, and Rev. Martin L. Johnson, pastor of Sedley Methodist Church (Trinity circuit). Pallbearers were J.W. Ballard, Warren Beale, L.A. Clements, Wilmer Cobb, Odell Joyner, Elliott Parker, Cedric Pittman and James D.
