JESSIE VICK 

   FRANKLIN - A funeral service for Jessie Vick was conducted Wednesday 
at 5 p.m. in Newsoms Cemetery by the Rev. Allen Lawrence of Newsoms Baptist 
Church.  W.J.M. Holland and Sons Funeral Home, Franklin, was in charge.

   Pallbearers were John Fleetwood Vick, Willie Drake, Benjamin Porter, 
Russell Drake, Ray Johnson, Marvin Cook and Marshall Vick.

   Vick, 61, died Tuesday morning in his home near Sands, Southampton 
County, after a short illness.

   A native of Southampton County, he was the husband of Mrs. Agnes Johnson 
Vick and a son of Fletcher and Mrs. Molly Flythe  Vick.

   He was a retired farmer.

   Besides his widow, surviving are a brother, John Vick of Conway, N.C., 
and a sister, Mrs. Spurgeon Drake of Newsoms.
