A native of Southampton County, he was the son of Samuel and Julia Ferguson Vick. He is survived by a sister, Miss Hattie Vick, and a half-brother, Eddie Vick, both the Norfolk, and two nephews, Fenton and Linwood Vick of Handsom. Funeral services for Mr. Vick were conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home Tuesday at 11 a.m. by his pastor, the Rev. Edgar A. Potts, assisted by the Rev. B.L. Candler. He was a member of the Wesley Men’s Bible Class of Epworth Methodist Church. Pallbearers were J.A. McDonall, H.L. Dupree, O.O. Campbell, A.J. Whitley, J.R. Turner and R.H. Copperwhite. Burial was in the family plot in Poplar Spring cemetery in Franklin.
