A native of Southampton County, he was a son of Richard and Mrs. Martha Vick and the husband of Mrs. Gennie Person Vick. He was a member of Newsoms Methodist Church and a retired farmer. Besides his widow, he is survived by a son, Raymond Vick of Newsoms; a daughter Mrs. Alma Goodrick of Henderson, N.C.; a brother, Sam Vick of Newsoms; and a granddaughter. The body was taken to W.J.M. Holland & Sons Funeral Home, Franklin, where a funeral service was held Friday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Robert E. Abbott. Burial was in Newsoms Cemetery. Pallbearers were George T Cook, J.Q. Worrell, J.C. Story, L.L. Thorpe, George Prince, R.L. Porter, E. Beale Carter and R.C. Badger.
