ZELLA MARIE GRAY WHITAKER VICK 

   NEWPORT NEWS - A funeral service for Mrs. Zella Gray Vick, 71, of 208 
Riverside Dr., Newport News, was held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in W.J.M. Holland 
& Sons Funeral Home by the Rev. Harry Bunch.

   Burial was in Newsoms Cemetery.

   Pallbearers were Fred D. Worrell, Gilbert W. Francis, W.T. O'Berry Jr., 
Julian L. Carter, Lloyd D. Taylor and Russell B. Railey.

   A native of Southampton County, she was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry 
Clay Gray and the widow of Eddie Vick.

   She was a member of Newsoms Baptist Church, a Sunday school teacher, and 
former president of Newsoms Woman's Club.

   She is survived by a son, Henry Baron Whitaker Sr. of New York, N.Y. and 
three grandchildren, Mrs. Teresa Bryum and Donald E. Whitaker of Memphis, 
Tenn. and Henry Baron Whitaker Jr. of Newport News.
