(Brick) Vaughan, 73, of Route 1, Courtland died Tuesday in Southampton Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Mrs. Janie Laine Vaughan. He was a member of Courtland Ruritan Club, Masonic Lodge, No. 85, and the Davis Ridley Hunt Club. He was a member of Capron United Methodist Church and a retired farmer. Other survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Sandra V. Close of Mechanicsville; one sister, Mrs. Lucy Worrell of Courtland; two brothers, Thomas Vaughan, and Roland Vaughan, both of Courtland; two grandchildren, Ashley and Tracey Close, both of Mechanicsville. A funeral service will be held Thursday. at 3:30 P.M., in Wright Funeral Home, Franklin by the Reverend Van E. Cash, and Woodrow Laine. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Courtland with Masonic rites.
