Born in Prince Edward County, she was the daughter of the late Hunter and Iva Glenn Brightwell and the widow of Robert A. Vaughan. A 1929 graduate of Farmville State Teachers College, Mrs. Vaughan was a member of the Southampton Memorial Hospital Auxiliary where she served as a Pink Lady. She was a member of High Street United Methodist Church. Mrs. Vaughan is survived by two nieces and a nephew. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. today in Poplar Spring Cemetery with the Rev. Edward C. Johnson officiating. Memorial donations may be made to High Street UMC, 301 W. 1st Ave., Franklin, VA 23851. Wright Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Frances (BRIGHTWELL; Mrs. Robert A.)
