William H. LaWall and Rev. Ira D. Hudgins. Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery. Wright Funeral Home had charge. Vaughan of 409 Norfleet St. died Thursday morning in Norfolk General Hospital. He was a native of Southampton County and was a graduate of Norfolk Business College. He was a former partner of Waller & Woodhouse, certified public accountants of Norfolk. In 1954 he became associated with Thornton Stores Inc., in Norfolk, as vice president. He retired in 1972 as treasurer of Heilig-Meyers Furniture stores in Richmond. He was a member of Sycamore Baptist Church and a deacon and trustee, member of Franklin Lions Club and Owens Masonic Lodge 164 of Norfolk. Survivors include five sisters, Miss Temperance Vaughan and Miss Maggie L. Vaughan of the home, Mrs. Eddie May Woods of Norfolk, Mrs. Sarah V. Darden of Windsor and Mrs. Irma Beale of Suffolk; and a niece.
