JOHN BELOWE VAUGHAN

   John Belowe Vaughan, 74, died at Raiford Hospital Thursday afternoon 
following an illness of several weeks.

   Mr. Vaughan a retired merchant, was the son of the late Lawson and Sarah 
Jane Whitfield Vaughan [of] Isle of Wight County.  Surviving him are two 
sisters, Miss Quintilla Vaughan and Miss Emily Vaughan of Franklin; two 
brothers, P.C. Vaughan of Jacksonville, Fla., and L.W. Vaughan of Franklin, 
and 17 nieces and nephews.

   Services will be held at the grave in Poplar Spring Cemetery here Saturday 
morning at 11 o’clock by Dr. Elwood W. Jones of the Franklin Congregational 
Christian Church.
