LAURA J. VAUGHAN Mrs. Laura J. Vaughan, an esteemed lady of this community, died in the Protestant Hospital, Norfolk, Sunday afternoon, November 16, in her 62 year, and was buried here Tuesday afternoon at 3:00 o'clock with services from the Franklin Baptist church. The service was conducted by Rev. Jesse McCarter, pastor of the deceased who had been a faithful and consistent member of Sycamore Baptist church for many years. She was a Miss Mathews of Gates county, N.C., and was the widow of the late Seymour Vaughan, a brother of Mr. F.H. Vaughan of this place, and is survived by seven brothers and two sisters, besides a number of sorrowing relatives and friends. The interment was made in Poplar Spring cemetery, the pallbearers being P.D. Camp, J.B. Vaughan, T.W. Cobb, J.O. Haslett, R. Henry Cobb. W.T. Pace, D.A. Holland and I.E. Howell. Laura J.
