Vaughan, on the Franklin-Murfreesboro highway, Monday afternoon. Mr. Vaughan was born in the county near Sycamore Church on the Blackwater River at the Vaughan home place, known today as the W.T. Harcum farm. He was the son of the late Mrs. Margaret Wills and Hillary S. Vaughan, of this county. In 1873 he married Miss Sarah Louisa Cobb who died 13 years ago. He is survived by one sister, Mrs. W.T. Harcum; two brothers, James Henry Vaughan and Joseph C. Vaughan, of the Franklin community. Funeral services were held from the home of his nephew, Rowland B. Vaughan, Tuesday afternoon at 4 o’clock by the Rev. Elwood W. Jones, assisted by Rev. R.D. Stephenson. Active pallbearers were: Willie O. Cotton, I.Q. Wiggins, Hunter Darden, Eddie Vaughan, H. Lee Vaughan, J.T. Darden, Leroy Vaughan and Otto Harcum. Interment was made in the family cemetery at old Bethany Church.
