St. Elmo Nauman. W.J.M. Holland and Sons Funeral Home was in charge. Pallbearers were Elle H. Bailey, Jack Farmer, Jesse Sinclair, John D. Abbitt, W.T. Pace Jr., and Roy Edwards. Vaughan, 73, a retired salesman, died Friday in a hospital. A native of Southampton County, he was the husband of Mrs. Ruth Rush Vaughan and a son of L.W. and Mrs. Molly Ricks Vaughan. He was a member of Franklin Congregational Christian Church. Besides his wife, he is survived by three brothers, L.W. Vaughan Jr. of Norfolk and J. Carol Vaughan and Robert A. Vaughan of Franklin; and five sisters, Miss Mary R. Vaughan of Portsmouth, Mrs. Lafayette Cox of Arlington, Mrs. Richard Jeffries of Norlina, and Mrs. J.E. Moore and Mrs. S.A. Trippe of Norfolk.
