E.C. Thornton. Burial will be in Southampton Memorial Park, Franklin. Pallbearers will be Lewis Manning, Eddie Rae Hedgepeth, Wayne Hedgepeth, Merrell Carr, Edwin Joyner, Gilmer Parker, George Parker and Eppa Gray. A native of Isle of Wight County, Va., he was a son of Mrs. Edith Vasser Stutts of Windsor, Va., and the late Williams Dudley Vasser and the husband of Mrs. Edith Harrison Vasser. He was an assistant manager for Roses Stores, Inc., in Chicasaw, Ala., and member of Burdette Baptist Church. Besides his widow and mother, surviving are a daughter, Teresa Ann Vasser, and three sons, Kenneth Edward Vasser, Keith Randolph Vasser, and Michael Lynn Vasser, all of Eight Mile; a sister, Mrs. Floyd H. Johnson of Zuni, Va.; and three brothers, William D. Vasser of Windsor and James T. Vasser and Edward L. Vasser of Franklin, Va.
