Vinson, 74 years of age, died at his home in Sebrell Monday afternoon following a long illness. He was a native of Hertford County, N.C., and had been a resident of Sebrell for the past 26 years where he was a merchant and a good citizen. He is survived by his wife and one daughter, Miss Imo Vinson, and a number of nieces and nephews. He was instrumental in establishing the Sebrell Baptist Church about ten years ago, faithfully attending its services until it disbanded a few years ago when he moved his membership to Courtland Baptist Church. The funeral services were held from the home Wednesday afternoon at two o’clock by his Pastor, Rev. Floyd P. Davis, assisted by a former pastor, Rev. L.F. Paulette of Smithfield. A requested hymn "Never Grow Old" by M.E. Worrell of Murfreesboro, N.C., and "Sometime We’ll Understand" by the Baptist Choir were sung. The services at the grave in Riverside Cemetery, Courtland, were conducted by the Masons of Courtland Lodge. There was a large attendance and many floral offerings, the casket being covered with a pall of roses and Lilies. The pallbearers were Carl, Jim and Brac Vinson, Glenwood and A.W. Johnson, W.B. Hall, A.E. Briggs and R.R. Reese. The relatives from a distance attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. A.W. Johnson, and family, West Norfolk; Mr. and Mrs. Brac Vinson, Portsmouth; Mr. and Mrs. Joe Vaughan, Victoria; Mr. and Mrs. Carl Vinson of Weldon, N.C.; Mr. and Mrs. Jim Vinson of Ahoskie, Mr. and Mrs. M.E. Worrell of Murfreesboro, N.C. Charles W.
